The role 

As a SLAM Engineer, you’ll be responsible for researching and developing localization and mapping technologies, as well as the test and validation of localization. Contributing to the research around SLAM, our client is looking for someone who is skilled in Computer Vision, SLAM, and C/C++. 

You’ll also contribute to research and development around ego-localisation and mapping and will test and validate algorithms in both simulation and the driving of real cars. 


The requirements 

You will have at least 3 years’ industry experience, working with either automatics, robotics, computer science or a similar field, as well as… 

  • Minimum of an MSc or Diploma of Engineering in Robotics, Automatics, or a related field 

  • Demonstrable skills in Computer Vision and SLAM  

  • Excellent C/C++ skills 

  • Working familiarity with Matlab/Simulink and/or Python as well as Linux environment 

  • Previous experience with and knowledge of robotics and the automotive space 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 

  • Able to work well as part of a collaborative team as well as being self-motivated to work independently 

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
