Do you have technical experience within the Medical Device Industry? Our client is currently looking for a Service Engineer to be responsible for delivering on-site support, from installations to maintenance.

They are passionate about developing a range of high-quality, innovative optical technologies for the treatment of eye diseases and vision impairment. With a reputation for quality, they are known for providing outstanding products to the healthcare market.

The role 

In the role of Service Engineer, you will provide first class support for the company’s customer base. You will be responsible for delivering services such as installation, breakdown repair, maintenance, and training on a wide range of product instrumentation.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Checking and testing new equipment prior to installation 

  • Visiting for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on installed equipment when required 

  • Responding to emergency call outs on equipment failures 

  • Liaising with hospital electronic departments  

  • Maintaining a high-quality working relationship with stakeholders at all levels 

  • Completing all service records and documentation 

  • Arranging return of equipment to manufacturers  

  • Assisting sales team at trade exhibitions 

  • Maintaining high level of product knowledge 

The requirements 

You will have technical experience within the Medical Device Industry, as well as: 

  • HND/HNC in Engineering in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic) 

  • Previous experience of performing in a technical field service team 

  • Knowledge in the field of Electro Medical devices 

  • Able to work as part of a team  

  • Excellent listening and customer service skills 

  • Able to multitask and produce high quality work  

  • Good organisational and presentation skills 

  • Full, clean UK driving license  

  • Flexible and willing to work away from home with occasional overnight stays
