Job description

Do you have experience selling to customers in the Energy, Petroleum, or Engineering industries? Our client is currently looking for a highly motivated Senior Sales Account Manager to join their team in Canada.

With a strong heritage in the space, they are a globally renowned organisation with customers across the world. Helping their clients to meet their sustainability and operational goals through their software portfolio, they specialise in implementing the latest in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

 

The role

As a Senior Sales Account Manager, your core focus will be developing and upselling business within the Energy industry. As an individual contributor, you will lead cross-functional teams to formulate client strategies, manage client solutions, and close on strategic client opportunities. You’ll look after the full spectrum of account development and management, with positive relationships sitting at the heart of this role. You’ll be a product expert and will be able to communicate your knowledge to customers and prospects to address their individual needs. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Achieving quarterly and annual sales quota

  • Completing assigned objectives of sales pipeline development and progress

  • Articulating solution business value to customers  

  • Managing the day-to-day sales process, coordinating account meetings

  • Providing sales and executive management with sales forecasts and usage of SalesForce.com

  • Coordinating and leading multidivisional account teams to achieve customer success

  • Working as a team leader and member

  • Developing C-Level relationships at assigned customers

 

The requirements 

The ideal candidate will have software sales experience in a consultative selling role, as well as: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial, Production or Petroleum engineering 

  • Track record in successful direct sales of software solutions

  • Extensive experience selling to customers within the Chemical, Energy, Petroleum, Processing, or Engineering Industries

  • Proficient at establishing C-level consultative relationships

  • A self-starter who can work autonomously

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Able to travel 50% of the time
