Are you an experienced salesperson with a background in software? Do you possess a strong hunter mentality? Our client is currently looking for an ambitious Senior Sales Account Manager to join their team in North America.

Our client is a leading software platform committed to playing an essential role in securing the safety of workers across the oil and gas, mining, construction and utility industries. Their SaaS platform analyses data based on a unique risk model to propose a personalised safety routine that reduces work-related accidents. Employers across the globe have been empowered by their safety software to reduce costs, ensure safety compliance and save lives. 

The role 

As a Senior Sales Account Manager, you’ll bring your selling experience to this role to identify the business priorities and initiatives of our client’s customers. You’ll lead complex sales cycles, liaising with global and local partners to expand selling into enterprise accounts and grow the sales pipeline. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 

  • Executing a clear and robust sales approach 

  • Opening new sales opportunities through cold calling and attending marketing events 

  • Building specialised knowledge of the software portfolio as well as industry markets 

  • Delivering solution presentations to key customers   

  • Developing enterprise SaaS proposals and negotiating enterprise software contracts 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales goals 

  • Producing regular reports and forecasts outlining both current and proposed activities 

  • Identifying the strategies of competitors and leveraging this knowledge to hone sales strategies 

  • Collaborating with Customer Success, Sales Development, Field and Product Marketing to achieve business objectives 

The requirements 

You’ll have 5+ years of successful experience selling Enterprise Software solutions to the oil and gas, energy, resources, mining, or chemical industries, as well as: 

  • Demonstrable success in closing large and complex SaaS sales 

  • Experience with implementing successful SaaS sales strategies in changing markets 

  • Able to communicate sales processes and strategies 

  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships and expand existing where appropriate 

  • Strong commercial awareness including negotiation skills 

  • Proactive and able to build long term customer relationships 

  • Excellent team-working ability  

  • Strong proficiency with MS applications and CRM tools (including
