Job description | Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in the nuclear industry to join their team in Staffordshire. The role As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage a portfolio of systems contracts and deliver them to major clients within the Nuclear Industry. With cumulative values of several £Ms the contracts range of full turnkey solutions based upon PLC/SCADA technology. Other requirements include… Delivering projects with several contracts cumulatively £several m, Managing projects from inception through to delivery
Adhering to timescales, specifications, and budgets Holding overall financial responsibility for the contracts Leading and motivating a team of engineers (up to 30) Being responsible for all Quality, and EH&S aspects of the projects Holding regular report and progress meetings with clients
The requirements You’ll have 5-10+ years demonstrable E, C & I Project Management experience within the nuclear industry, as well as… Experience of NEC3/4 contracting Strong customer facing skills Track record of achieving project timescales, margins, and customer satisfaction Experience of subcontractor management A recognised project management qualification (PMI, APMP etc.) is desirable
A recognised safety qualification (IOSH managing safely etc.) is desirable Strong leadership and team management experience Commercially astute and an experience negotiator Full UK Driving License Flexible and willing to travel, with occasional overnight stays
