The role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage multiple projects at once and deliver on team and client needs within Utilities and Power distribution. You will deliver upgrades and modifications to existing Transmission substation protection and control systems for National Grid and other customers in the Power Transmission industry.

• Managing projects from inception through to delivery  

• Adhering to timescales, specifications, and budgets

• Holding overall financial responsibility for the projects 

• Leading and motivating a team of engineers 

• Managing subcontractors and supply chain 

• Adhering to Quality, EH&S aspects 

• Securing future business through excellent delivery 

The requirements
You’ll have 5 years demonstrable E, C & I Project Management experience within the Power Transmission industry, as well as…

• Degree level educated

• Experience of subcontractor management  

• Track record of achieving project timescales, margins, and customer satisfaction 

• Ability to plan and deliver the project to the agreed plan 

• Working towards or completed the APM Practitioner Qualification is desirable  

• Experience of Project Proposals and general bid work is desirable  

• Strong leadership and team management experience  

• Ability to develop effective relationships at all levels 

• Commercially astute and able to identify risks and find resolutions 

• Full UK Driving License 

• Flexible and willing to travel, with occasional overnight stays
