Are you an innovative engineer who enjoys the challenge of solving complex problems? Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
Our client is on a mission to create the future of powertrains. They work on the full lifecycle from strategic planning to testing powertrain and electrification technologies. They have got a rich history in the automotive space, working with major vehicle OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to optimise their products.
Working towards a more sustainable future, they are operating in the electrification space to advance the development of new, more sustainable technologies.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll assume a leading role among a team of ambitious engineers and bring your technical expertise to lead a variety of fast-paced projects. You’ll apply your wealth of design and analysis experience to a range of technologies and applications and build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure that you deliver effective solutions that satisfy their requirements.

Defining clear and robust project approach processes
Deliver on projects on time and to budget
Ensuring rapid responses to customer requests
Maintaining operational excellence for the customer base
Presenting data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Translating client strategy into actionable projects
Creating technical project proposals
Acting as a lead change agent, able to channel resources effectively
You will have a proven track record of innovation within a series of powertrain projects, as well as…
Demonstrable success managing small to medium-sized projects, both in a technical and commercial environment
Familiar with key software packages within drivetrain engineering (including SMT and MASTA)
Strong understanding of the design and CAE analysis of rotating systems
Experience in automotive, transmission or precision engineering design or analysis
Knowledge of key engineering processes and procedures
Demonstrable experience in applying fundamental mechanical engineering principles to complex problems
Outstanding information gathering and problem-solving skills
Analytical, logical and detail-orientated
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Willing to develop and take on complex technical concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in English and another language (ideally French, German or Korean)
