Job description

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will help to deliver world-class consultancy and products in a range of sectors including Automotive, Rail, Marine Motorsport and Medical. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to apply their assembly process engineering experience and knowledge in a dynamic hands-on manufacturing environment.  
The company 

We are representing an industry-leading consultancy company, that specialises in the development of breakthrough engineering and electrical proposition systems. This division specialises in delivering niche powertrain products to many premium automotive customers to clients from multiple sectors.  

The role 

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Processes and Procedures associated with the assembly of products from concept to series production.  

  • Designing and developing manufacturing processes for current and future Programmes 

  • Completing Risk Assessments and Safety Readiness documents 

  • Collecting new and modified tooling and equipment required for assembly 

  • Supporting the production team to improve quality and efficiency 

  • Developing assembly work standards  

  • Achieving quality standards in a series production environment  


The requirements 

You will have experience of NPI or Process Engineering role where skills can be transferred into the objectives described above, gained within the automotive sector, as well as…  

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience  

  • Knowledge of automotive technology and product development  

  • Hands-on experience of lean manufacturing 

  • Experience with various manufacturing processes and components  

  • Knowledge of cost estimating 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills  

  • Experience in component and equipment cost estimating 

  • Experience in MES and vision systems preferred  

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Strong interpersonal skills  

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally regularly
