FMC Smart Industry continue to support world leaders in engineering software who push the boundaries of innovation for the global AEC, Smart Cities, and infrastructure sectors. We have partnered with one of, if not the, biggest names in software for architects, engineers and other infrastructure professionals with their search for a Senior Manager, Sector Analyst in the USA or UK.

The role

Whilst operating as a Senior Manager, Sector Analyst you will utilise your broad exposure of the software and technology industry (specialising in industrial, infrastructure and AEC) by providing high level insights, data sets and recommendations to the acquisitions team. You will be involved heavily in competitor and market analysis whilst also building relationships and building a network with prospect organisations and acting as a point of contact.

In addition, you will assist with financial and business due diligence, understand and appreciate different customer journeys and business value propositions, metrics and other indicators for business success. You will advise on prospective future product experimentation based on demand analysis, consumer behaviour, and market desires whilst proposing solutions and options to address these.

This position is a senior analytical and commercial role which seeks to tackle the entire market, from many different perspectives. You will understand what matters most to consumers and FMC’s client and prioritise ruthlessly for them to remain at the forefront of innovation for the industrial, infrastructure and AEC markets.

The requirements

You will possess a University degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering in addition to

  • 10+ years of total experience in the industrial, infrastructure or AEC markets as in sales leadership
  • A background in software and technology in CAD, BIM, digital twins, simulation, modeling and more
  • Experience in high-level strategic planning and public relations experience is strongly desired
  • You will possess strong relationship building and information management skills whilst being excitemed, enthusiastic and passionate for people and their business needs
  • Ideally a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, creative, results-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, effective use of interpersonal skills, and ability to network effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • You must demonstrate a wide-range knowledge of FMC’s client, it’s solutions, structure and philosophy
