Are you looking for a dynamic and challenging position within the legal and technical landscape? Our client is currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel Manager to join their talented legal team and provide support across the Nordic region.

The role 

As a Senior Legal Counsel Manager, you’ll join a highly collaborative team of individuals to provide full-service legal support in a variety of legal disciplines. You will play a key role in devising and reviewing contracts as well as supporting contract negotiations, from small-scale engagements to complex, internationally managed contracts. Your expertise will help teams to close deals with customers and support our clients to achieve business objectives.  

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Identifying and resolving complex legal, regulatory and business issues 

  • Providing advice on both local and regional matters 

  • Promoting legal and compliance awareness with applicable laws and regulations 

  • Delivering guidance in product development 

  • Preparing and interpreting legal reports, statements, enquires and other documents 

  • Actively contributing to improving processes, updating templates and reviewing governance 

  • Building strong relationships with both internal and external partners 

  • Maintaining and developing both legal and technical expertise 

 

The requirements 

You’ll have 5+ years of solid commercial legal experience in a financial business, in-house legal counsel, or law firm, as well as: 

  • Master of Laws degree from a Nordic University 

  • Demonstrable experience independently managing complex contract negotiations, both public and private 

  • Expertise and experience in either credit, marketing, AML or privacy (GDPR) law is desirable 

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen  

  • Detail orientated, analytical and able to take a solution-oriented view when problem-solving 

  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills 

  • Able to effectively communicate at all levels (both verbal and written) 

  • Fluent in Swedish and English 

  • Finnish and/or Estonian and Latvian communication skills are desirable 

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team  

  • Positive and driven
