Our client is seeking a passionate client focused individual to join their funeral services business as a Senior Funeral Director. 


The company  

Our client is a family-owned business that provides compassionate and professional funeral services to the local community. They deliver a high-quality, tailored service and are well respected due to their knowledge, professionalism, and passion. 


The role 

As a Senior Funeral Director, you will be heavily involved in preparing, managing, and conducting day-to-day funeral operations, arranging, and directing funerals and funeral home oversight. You will promote our clients service within the community and create relationships with key personnel to support business growth and marketing.  

Other responsibilities include… 

  • Meeting with and advising families or friends of the deceased 

  • Conducting preparation and presentation of the deceased 

  • Ensuring everything is in place pre-and post-funeral in a timely manner 

  • Directing funerals in accordance with family wishes 

  • Ensuring the highest levels of customer service 

  • Managing internal business systems 

  • Conducting training seminars for staff 

  • Building relationships with members of the community  

  • Complying with GDPR and CMA policies and procedures 

  • Maintaining business compliance  

  • Health and Safety management  


The requirements 

The ideal candidate will be NAFD qualified and have at least 3+ years’ experience as a Funeral Director, as well as… 

  • Professionally qualified to Diploma in Funeral Directing level or willing to study for professional qualifications 

  • Working well in a team environment  

  • Personable, motivated, and thorough  

  • Ability to multitask and be organised  

  • Exceptional attention to detail  

  • Confident interpersonal skills 

  • Passionate about good service and high standards 

  • Excellent personal presentation standards 

  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude 

  • Full UK Driving Licence
