A unique company offering revolutionary cooling technologies are looking for a Senior Electrical Distribution System (EDS) Engineer to join their team and work on EDS design, development, prototyping, and testing.

They have a huge focus on reducing climate change by creating innovative new technologies to combat the use of fossil fuels and have got an international reputation for innovation and engineering excellence.
As a Senior EDS Engineer, you’ll be working on the design, development, prototyping, and testing of electrical distribution systems for the client’s state of the art technology. You’ll use both analytical and practical skills in this role! You’ll mainly be focused on designing electrical harness systems, including voltage systems, prototypes, and circuit boards.
Designing, developing, prototyping, and testing electrical distribution systems
Designing electrical harness technologies
Working with high and low voltage systems, circuit boards, and mule prototypes
Working in ECAD environment
Liaising with other stakeholders, including prototype and production harness suppliers
Working with other teams within the business to ensure designs meet timing, performance, and cost requirements
Supporting research and development activities
Supporting the development of tools
Identifying method/process gaps for continuous improvement
You will have at least 5 years’ experience in electrical distribution system design, as well as…
Further education in engineering (electrical, mechatronic, or systems) at either graduate, postgraduate or HND/HNC level
Understanding of system/product development cycles
Knowledge of EDS requirements and design tool development and integration
Awareness of engineering release activities, change management processes and wiring harness manufacturing
Practical knowledge of ECAD and MCAD
History of working in a multidiscipline engineering environment desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and organisational skills
Background in niche or motorsport engineering and an understanding of vehicle systems desirable but not essential
Able to design, create and test prototype wiring harnesses
Comfortable with UK and occasional overseas travel
