Are you a competitive sales individual with a drive to succeed? Do you possess a demonstrable track record in solution and service selling? Our client is currently looking for a Senior Account Manager to join their North American team and be responsible for sales and growth across the territory.  
The company 
Our client provides engineered products and services that improve reliability, decrease risk and reduce overall maintenance program costs. They offer a comprehensive suite of solutions and utilise their people, processes, and technology to enable businesses around the world to meet their growth targets. These industry experts are looking to push digital transformation in the Chemicals sector. 
The role 
As a Senior Account Manager, your core focus will be on tackling the delivery and growth of our client’s portfolio within the Americas. You will develop and close the pipeline of new business, identifying the unique needs of your customers to provide them with the products and business solutions they need as well as pursuing new business opportunities.  
Responsibilities include: 

  • Developing growth strategies for existing accounts 
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities 
  • Creating and developing sales plans and schedules  
  • Supporting sales, proposal development and contract negotiation   
  • Ensuring rapid responses to sales queries  
  • Analysing market data and developing reports from this 
  • Performing competitive analysis (SWOT) 
  • Supporting the sales process from business development through to negotiation 
  • Building strong relationships with the marketing and operations team members 
  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 
  • Working across the entire sales lifecycle  
  • Maintaining up-to-date information on all client interactions  

The requirements 
Our client is looking for someone personable with a strong hunter mentality who is ready to progress in a sales career. The successful candidate will have strong (3-5 years’) sales experience, as well as: 

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline 
  • Experience with a Private Equity backed company  
  • Background in sales management or sales coaching role is desirable
  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships and expand existing ones where appropriate 
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing sector  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) 
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Able to work autonomously and diligently 
  • Driven team player
  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite)
  • Flexible and willing to travel up to 70%
