Our client is looking for an ambitious Senior Account Manager to join their team in the US. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to sell a range of cutting-edge enterprise-level solutions across the construction space.

Our client is an engineering software powerhouse that put R&D, M&A activity, and brand enhancement at the forefront of its innovation strategy, propelling them ahead of its competitors. More recently, leading the way in Digital Twin, IoT, and simulation design and modelling software, they have thousands of customers based across the world.

The role

As a Senior Account Manager you will become the lead contact within specified accounts across the North East US. You’ll be responsible devising and executing sales strategies to maximise value and meet revenue targets – you’ll utilise your experience to determine the sales strategy and negotiate and implement approved contracts. You’ll support project delivery by building trusted relationships with key executives across the construction space and gaining a detailed understanding of their business needs in order to position our client as the partner of choice.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Growing the customer base and market presence by developing and executing sales campaigns
  • Devising detailed account plans, pipeline assessments and sales forecasts
  • Prospecting and closing new business opportunities
  • Hitting and exceeding quota targets
  • Forming and maintaining senior-level customer relationships
  • Showcasing our client’s value proposition to customers by providing technical solutions
  • Maintain a strong knowledge level of the company’s solutions and services
  • Delivering client feedback to product, marketing and development teams


The requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive (8+ years’) experience in selling enterprise software solutions to Government agencies, with a track record of hitting and exceeding sales quota. Excellent knowledge of ECM solutions and BIM, as well as a strong desire to learn, are crucial to this role. Other requirements include:

  • Degree educated in Civil Engineering is highly desirable, ideally with a background in construction and transportation
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and growing executive accounts
  • Proficient computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for negotiating
  • Highly self-disciplined and organised
  • Strong motivation and personal commitment
  • Flexible and willing to travel up to 20%
