FMC’s Digital Plant team are working closely with a fast-growing digital transformation provider headquartered out of Germany. Their IIoT solutions have taken the industrial sector by storm and are widely regarded as one of the Smart Industries top employers thanks to their career progression opportunities, meaningful and exciting projects with global clients, transparency from the management board and ambition to become the best at what they do! As part of their growth journey, they are seeking a talented Senior Account Executive.

The role

You will join an exciting and talented sales team in a new business hunting capacity to provide their best-in-class industrial IoT solutions to enterprise accounts in addition to some account management. You will help generate meaningful business outcomes whilst strengthening existing relations as a Senior Account Executive.

We are keen to connect with sales professional with a background in value-based, consultative sales to C-level executives. Whilst not essential, the ideal candidate will have a background within industrial markets such as Manufacturing, Automotive and Power industries as well as experience of selling advanced software or technology solutions. Above all, they must have an appreciation for business outcomes, regardless of years’ experience.

The requirements

You will ideally possess a University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business, but this is not essential, in addition to:

  • Being a self-starter with an appetite for success, who is proactive and able to credibly engage with customers. You will ideally have 10+ years’ experience in a new business hunting position
  • Deep understanding of IIoT and/or other complex digital transformation solutions for the industrial and manufacturing markets, particularly in OEM and services sectors
  • A desire or experience of working within a start-up, fast growing culture whilst able to manage a growing brand in the market
  • Possess a network within the industrial market is desirable whilst having a demonstrable track record of closing large enterprise deals
  • Possess strong analytical skills, business planning skills and able to communicate effectively to senior internal stakeholders
  • Fluent in English (other languages are also preferable) and flexible to travel to client sites regularly when required (around 50% of the time)
