With sights set on the future, our client is seeking a SCADA Support Engineer to join their team in Staffordshire and deliver critical projects across energy, water, renewables, and manufacturing environments.

The role 
As a SCADA Support Engineer, you will supplement our client’s Software Support Services team with a variety of PLC and SCADA skills.  

The key activities will include: 

  • Routine maintenance visits to customer’s sites 

  • Fault-finding on systems under support 

  • Modifications and upgrades 

  • Service reports and client meetings 

  • Support Business Development and Delivery teams 

  • Project-based work 

  • Out-of-hours support 

  • Warranty cover 

 

The requirements 
The ideal candidate will be well versed in all key PLC, SCADA and DCS platforms that our client supports and would be expected to undertake training to learn systems in which they are not competent, as well as… 

  • An understanding of OT Cyber Security  

  • Experience in the Power Generation, Nuclear, Water and Utilities industries  

  • Works effectively as part of a team  

  • A desire to consistently deliver excellent customer service 

  • Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Ability to work independently  

  • Flexible in your methods of working 

  • Full UK driving licence 

  • Willing to travel across the UK and comfortable providing out-of-hours support
