Do you have experience in sales management?  Do you want to work for a dynamic orthopaedics company who specialise in innovative products for upper and lower extremities? Our client is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager for Germany to achieve growth across their portfolio and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.

The role 

As a Regional Sales Manager you will manage the German territory and will be responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets. You will design and implement a strategic business plan and be enthusiastic and eager to maintain and grow the territory and market presence. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Setting objectives, coaching and performance monitoring for the sales team 

  • Effectively managing the operational costs  

  • Maintaining and growing business in the territory 

  • Growing the customer base and market presence in line with targets 

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels 

  • Monthly sales and leads reporting 

  • Working with the team on large-scale projects 

  • Ensuring all sales team complete sales and exceed business targets  

  • Attending Operating Room visits and supporting Orthopaedic surgeons 

  • Learning technical and methodological requirements of product portfolio 

  • Representing the company at tradeshows and exhibitions 

  • Maintaining equipment  

 

The requirements 

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management and will have proven success in a medical device sales role. 

 Other requirements include…  

  • 5 years Sales Management experience is required 

  • A minimum of 2 years of orthopaedic sales 

  • Strong track record in a medical device sales role 

  • Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding targets 

  • Experience managing and coaching a sales team across Germany  

  • Knowledge and understanding of human anatomy/physiology 

  • Excellent customer service skills  

  • Fluent in German and English  

  • Ability to develop long term customer relationships  

  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite) 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Experience gained in orthopaedics is essential  

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail 

  • Full driving license and ability to travel across the territory 

 

This Sales Manager role is field based, with time spent in the office on an ad hoc basis. When permitted, you will be expected to travel to customers across this territory.
