FMC Global Talent are supporting a leading technology provider who have pioneered software solutions for engineering and manufacturing sectors across the world. Their talented team has predominantly been formed by ex-industry professionals who have the knowledge to solve business critical problems by utilising technology and software to save on time and costs whilst improving operational efficiency. They are on the brink of undergoing significant organic growth and various company acquisitions globally to strengthen their market leading status.

The role

As part of this, they are seeking an experienced and talented Sales Manager based on the West Coast of the USA to join their team to meet or exceed sales targets for the region. You will primarily be focused on their supply chain software suite which is unique to the industrial markets and is already used by thousands of engineers across the world. Working with a team of industry experts, you will benefit from world leading support in sales, pre-sales, marketing and product teams so that you have the necessary tools at your disposal to be successful. This is a blend of new business hunting and account management so and will require a consultative, strategic approach to your sales style.

The requirements

You must possess a degree in Engineering Science, Business Management or an aligned subject in addition to:

  • 10+ years’ experience in business development and account management in a technology environment (ideally supply chain software or aligned solutions)
  • 5+ years’ experience of product sales management and an appreciation for sales methodologies, strategies and techniques
  • Significant technical sales experience within the industrial markets such as oil & gas, chemicals, utilities and more
  • A demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding targets by selling complex solutions to C-level executives
  • Possess excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisation skills as well as being proactive, charismatic, energetic and resilient
  • Able to speak fluent English (other languages are also preferable) and able to travel to client sites when required (under normal circumstances)
