Job description

Our client is seeking an ambitious, innovative, and tech-savvy Sales Engineer to become join their team in driving the industrial revolution across North America.

Their solutions have been trusted by several Fortune 500 countries to provide a seamless digital transformation. 

The role 

As a Sales Engineer you will be highly valued for your technical knowledge – you’ll deliver quality product solution demonstrations that address customer queries and technical challenges to support the sales process. You’ll design applications and deploy small pilots, providing valuable input into new product requirements that will satisfy customer demands. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Developing effective sales activities and strategies 

  • Maintaining a high level of competitive intelligence to deliver a compelling value proposition to customers 

  • Participating in customer meetings to gain a deep understanding of customer requirements 

  • Identifying gaps between product functionality and customer needs 

  • Engaging in marketing and pre-sales webinars, including both virtual and live settings 

  • Liaising with Product Management and Development to understand details of product direction 

  • Collaborating with Account Executives to provide business and technical knowledge 


The requirements 

You’ll have 3+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing or industrial sector, as well as: 

  • Degree Educated in Electrical, Industrial or Computer Engineering or a relevant discipline 

  • Experience as a sales engineer or in a technical sales role is highly desirable 

  • Strong understanding of IoT or IoT applications, projects, or platforms 

  • Knowledge of software programming (including Python and JavaScript) 

  • Analytical and curious 

  • Able to thrive in a team-orientated environment 

  • Exceptional communication skills with a strong customer focus 

  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Suite)
