Are you a technically minded individual who thrives in a hands-on, customer-facing role? Our client is seeking a high-energy, entrepreneurial Sales Engineer to join their team in South Korea.

The role

As a Sales Engineer you will be highly valued for your technical knowledge – you’ll deliver quality product solution demonstrations that address customer queries to support the sales process. You’ll act as a consultant and develop trusted relationships with customers to gain insight into their technical challenges and position our client’s products and services as solutions to their business needs. 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Translating client strategy into actionable projects 

  • Proposing solutions in response to assessment requests

  • Maintaining a high level of competitive intelligence to deliver a compelling value proposition to customers 

  • Participating in customer meetings to gain a deep understanding of customer requirements

  • Identifying gaps between product functionality and customer needs

  • Ensuring rapid responses to sales requests and queries 


The requirements

You’ll have a background of success in an IT Project Lead role, as well as:

  • Basic scripting skills 

  • Experience in a solution sales role 

  • Knowledge of security software and familiarity with the security lifecycle is desirable 

  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate with functional teams and leaders across an organization 

  • Strong team player and comfortable working with a virtual team 

  • Able to thrive in a dynamic sales environment 

  • Customer-focused and able to build strong interpersonal relationships at all levels 

  • Highly organised and with effective prioritisation skills 

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to drive discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

  • Flexible and willing to travel
