FMC Smart Industry continue to support world leaders in engineering software who push the boundaries of innovation for the global AEC, Smart Cities, and infrastructure sectors. We have partnered with one of, if not the, biggest names in software for architects, engineers and other infrastructure professionals with their search for a Sales Engineer in the USA.

More recently leading the way in Digital Twin, IoT, and simulation design and modelling software, they have thousands of customers based across the world.

The role

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in growing and expanding their sales by prospecting, addressing incoming leads, giving presentations and demos to prospects all whilst working closely with senior sales professionals. You will utilise your technical understanding of engineering software gained at university or via work experience to help bring to life their market leading suit of solutions. You will utilise this knowledge to address their clients headaches and help to recommend solutions which can significantly add value and provide a good return on their investment.

This is a fantastic position for a junior sales executive or someone with hands-on engineering experience who is keen to work in Industry 4.0 and a globally renowned software vendor.

The requirements

The successful candidate will ideally possess a degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or be able to demonstrate the equivalent industry experience) and possess:

  • Experience in engineering software (CAD, project management, simulation, digital twins, IoT etc…)
  • Be commercially minded with the drive, determination, and motivation to succeed
  • Able to work under pressure and meet weekly, monthly and annual KPIs
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Possess excellent time management and organisation skills whilst being able to address their work methodically and efficiently.
  • Able to work flexibly and travel often
