Do you have experience in a technical sales role? Do you want to work for an innovative software company? Our client is a growing security software vendor who are looking to add an experienced Sales Engineer to their already established team in Singapore.

The role 

Our client is looking to add an experienced Sales Engineer to their already established team in Singapore. In this role you will be working with both enterprise organisations and government bodies to provide technical assistance and commercial understanding to help close sales. You’ll build strong, technical customer relationships to drive increased revenue across Japan.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Driving sales of our client’s software solutions 

  • Building strong technical relationships with customers 

  • Accelerating the sales cycle 

  • Presenting technical software to customers to help close business 

  • Providing technical support to customers through the sales process 

  • Working with the sales team to assess customer needs and identify the appropriate products and solutions 

  • Providing project scoping 

  • Coordinating with other business units 

  • Participating in customer meetings to anticipate customer needs 


The requirements 

You’ll have a strong track record in a sales role with excellent technical competency. Other requirements include:  

  • Experience in a sales role with a technical focus 

  • Consultative sales skills 

  • Demonstrable experience in a dynamic sales environment 

  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders 

  • Able to build relationships with stakeholders of all levels 

  • Strong presentation skills 

  • Experience of working in a b2b IT or software environment 

  • Basic scripting experience 

  • Excellent commercial acumen 

  • Excellent communication and English language skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Able to drive technical discussions 

  • Knowledge of security software desirable but not essential 

  • Organised and able to work flexibly 

  • Motivated and driven 

  • Able to travel regularly to meet with customers and partners
