FMC Smart Industry continue to support world leaders in engineering software who push the boundaries of innovation for the global AEC, Smart Cities, and infrastructure sectors. We have partnered with one of, if not the, biggest names in software for architects, engineers and other infrastructure professionals with their search for an Sales Engineer in France.

The role

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in growing and expanding their sales by prospecting, addressing incoming leads, giving presentations and demos to prospects all whilst working closely with senior sales professionals. You will utilise your technical understanding of Geotechnical engineering software gained at university and through industry experience to help bring to life their market leading suite of solutions. You will utilise this knowledge to address their clients headaches and help to recommend solutions which can significantly add value and provide a good return on their investment.

This is a fantastic position for a Civil Engineer or someone with hands-on Geotechnical Engineering experience who it keen to work in Industry 4.0 and a globally renowned software vendor.

The requirements

The successful candidate will ideally possess a degree in Civil Engineering or an aligned subject in addition to:

  • Time served as a Civil Engineer within the industry ideally with a bias towards Geotechnical
  • Experience of engineering software solutions such as FEA and Design and how they are used
  • A strong and demonstrable understanding of Geotechnical Engineering processes
  • Able to build strong internal and external relationships by being a strong communicator, organised and active with your work
  • Able to work effectively from home whilst also being flexible to travel when required
  • Fluent English and French
