FMC Smart Industry are working with a well-backed, high-growth software company pioneering the adoption of its powerful machine-learning predictive maintenance product into the manufacturing sector. The cutting-edge cloud-based product provides truly scalable prognostics and advanced condition monitoring analysis automatically without the need for expert manual analysis.

Due to continued high growth, plans for future fund raising and strong client traction, the company is seeking to engage a Sales Director with a proven track record in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, to help accelerate growth and secure the company’s position as the market leader.

The role

This critical moment in their growth trajectory means the ideal Sales Director will be a tenacious, driven, hungry and commercial induvial with a desire to achieve big. You will play a crucial role in educating organisations on how they can optimize cash flow, minimise risk in supply chain operations by deploying their technology focused on automation and data analytics. This in turn will help them to rebound from recent events.

With growth in areas including the heavy industry (concrete, pulp and paper, F&B, and mining and metals), you will leverage your understanding of contacts and businesses which operate in this space to help you succeed. Our client are convinced that remote monitoring will play a really important role in the “new normal” and you will champion this philosophy.  

The requirements

You must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Engineering, Business or Sciences in addition to:

  • A proven track record of sales success, selling complex software solutions at different levels of an organisation (does not necessarily need to be in the industrial markets, but must be a quick learner)
  • Closing new business and new deals and be able to approach your work creatively and resourcefully.
  • A consultative selling style is necessary due to the advanced nature and high value of software
  • Ideally based on the East Coast of the USA and able to travel regularly
  • Experience within a start-up environment would be beneficial and an appreciation of being self-reliant
  • Ability to coordinate multiple deadlines and respond quickly management team and client inquiries
