Are you an experienced sales professional who is passionate about AI or analytics technology? Our client is currently looking for a Sales Director to join their international sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most impactful technology companies in the utility sector. 


The company 

Supporting some of the largest and most progressive utilities globally, our client is a leading provider of AI-powered solutions covering the inspection and maintenance of critical infrastructure. Their software solution revolutionises the operation of Power Utilities and transmission and distribution networks. For the past ten years, our client has grown rapidly and currently consists of almost 110 employees with offices in Norway, Denmark, the UK, and the US.


The role 

As a Sales Director, you will focus on growing the sales pipeline through direct contact, partners and collaboration with marketing. You’ll be responsible for leading complex sales cycles, from initial contact through to signed contracts.  

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Developing and writing proposals, statements of work and RFP responses in line with customer requirements 

  • Hitting quarterly goals and providing weekly manager updates 

  • Tracking all sales activity in Hubspot 

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with utility industry influencers 

  • Present our client’s value proposition and solutions using appropriate value-based sales approaches and techniques 

  • Reporting directly to sales leadership in North America 


The requirements 

You’ll have 5+ years of experience in the Energy and Utility Industry, as well as: 

  • Demonstrable success with selling complex solutions to IOU’s in North America 

  • Successful track record of being a highly effective consultant or pre-sales resource in the energy sector 

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-start environment 

  • Highly motivated and structured 

  • Willing to invest time to implement best practices and methodologies 

  • Proactive and able to credibly engage with customers 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)  

  • Comfortable working with technology 

  • Curious and excited about sustainable energy, AI and advanced analytics
