Job description

Our client is looking for a highly motivated Sales Director to join their expanding team remotely across the US and accelerate their next stage of growth.

 
The company

Our client delivers a self-service SaaS solution currently blazing the IoT space, which is the fastest-growing market globally. They help to solve some of the world’s greatest problems around energy, water, and other natural resources.

The role

As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for expanding their sales pipeline by selling their solution portfolio to existing Renewable Energy prospects within the Wind and Solar industry. You will work closely with Sales Engineering, Client Engineering and Management to create, qualify, and close new revenue.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of our client’s product portfolio

  • Leading all relevant sales opportunities, new and existing

  • Meeting quarterly and annual sales quotes through sales execution

  • Building authentic relationships based on value for the customers 

  • Leveraging appropriate internal resources to close deals

  • Working on sales priorities, targets, strategies, and pipeline management

  • Managing, tracking and reporting daily on all sales activity in the CRM system

 
The requirements

You’ll have 5+ years of sales experience selling to the Oil and Gas Industry, as well as…

  • Degree educated in engineering or a relevant field

  • Successfully sold SaaS or Enterprise software to energy companies

  • Strong understanding of the technical sales process

  • Able to learn new concepts quickly and explain complex information simply

  • Knowledge of analytics, fleet monitoring solutions, and SCADA systems is desirable 

  • Strong negotiating skills, ambitious, and self-driven

  • Able to demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbally)

  • Strong time management skills, able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines

  • Prior experience using HubSpot or a comparable CRM system
