Job description

Do you want to be at the cutting-edge of construction technology and help support the industry’s adoption of solutions such as wearable technology and AI? Our client is seeking a Sales Director to lead their team remotely across the US.  

The company 

Having recently closed its Series B funding round in late 2021, the company has ambitious and aggressive hiring plans to scale the business from 120 people to 200 in 2022. Their goal is to become the vendor for solutions aimed at accurately managing construction sites by mitigating inefficiencies and risk. Wearable technology in the construction market is still in its fledgling stages however this company are already working with some of the largest contractors and engineering firms globally due to the quality of the solution. 


The role 

As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for expanding their sales pipeline by selling our client’s solution portfolio to existing prospects within the AEC industry. You will work closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing and Management to create, qualify, and close new revenue. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Developing a thorough understanding of our client’s product portfolio 

  • Leading all relevant sales opportunities, new and existing 

  • Meeting quarterly and annual sales quotes through sales execution 

  • Building authentic relationships based on value for the customers 

  • Leveraging appropriate internal resources to close deals 

  • Working on sales priorities, targets, strategies, and pipeline management 

  • Managing, tracking, and reporting daily on all sales activity in the CRM system 

The requirements 

You’ll have extensive experience selling software to the construction space, as well as… 

  • Degree educated in engineering or a relevant field 

  • A deep understanding of the AEC market 

  • Successfully sold SaaS or Enterprise software 

  • Previous experience in managing a team of 6+ Account Executives 

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen 

  • Comfortable working with technology 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment  

  • Able to learn new concepts quickly and explain complex information simply 

  • Strong negotiating skills, ambitious, and self-driven 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbally) 

  • Strong time management skills, able to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines 

  • Ideally located in a Central or Mountain time zone
