Are you a competitive individual with a drive to succeed? Do you have a background of success in software sales? Our client is currently looking for a talented Sales Director to join their team across the DACH Region. 

The company 

FMC Smart Industry is working with a rapidly growing software company and creator of an industry-renowned machine-learning and AI product for the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Their highly sophisticated and intelligent solution provides accurate analysis so that engineers can recognise faults before they occur. They are striving to truly master Industry 4.0 and digital transformation so that their customers can work rapidly, efficiently and with reduced costs across the board.

The role 

As a Sales Director, you’ll bring your sales expertise to develop and execute strategic account plans that will expand our client’s customer base across the German automotive and manufacturing markets and accelerate revenue growth.  You’ll collaborate closely with sales, marketing and business development colleagues to drive smooth sales cycles which you will own from prospecting through to closing.  

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 

  • Creating and developing sales opportunities 

  • Hitting and exceeding revenue targets 

  • Providing accurate sales forecasts 

  • Building strong customer relationships at all levels, including C-Suite 

  • Supporting regional sales, proposal development and contract negotiation 


The requirements 

You’ll have a proven track record in selling enterprise software into the German automotive /manufacturing market, as well as: 

  • Degree educated in Engineering or another relevant discipline 

  • 5+ years’ experience closing complex sales solutions 

  • Familiar with Industry 4.0, the Industrial IoT and analytics/machine learning 

  • Proven track record of selling B2B software to large multi-nationals with long complex sales cycles 

  • High level business intelligence and commercial acumen 

  • New business hunter with proven success in building high-level relationships 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) 

  • Fluent in English and German
