Do you have credibility in the telecoms space? Our client in Germany is looking for a Sales Director to lead the European Geospatial sales team.

Our client consists of experienced software, telecoms, and utility professionals who have leveraged their expertise with their rapidly expanding customer base of over 50,000 globally to provide unparalleled geospatial solutions. 

 
The role

As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing, structuring, and negotiating complex, high-value custom deals with key clients. You will rapidly build a qualified pipeline of £20m close deals and ensure your targets are exceeded. You will work cross-functionally with all business units and drive the go-to-market plan across the DACH region.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Cold calling into relevant accounts

  • Developing prospects through LinkedIn

  • Generating new leads and opportunities

  • Managing and closing deals as well as qualifying prospects and leads

  • Creating executive account plans and strategies

  • Presenting comprehensive business solutions

  • Accurately forecasting sales revenue

 

The requirements

You’ll have Telecoms experience as well as a deep understanding of the planning and construction of fibre and the fixed-access network (Mobile and 5G). Other requirements include… 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience closing enterprise Software, SaaS, or PaaS deals 

  • Experience in selling million-dollar complex web and mobile software solutions

  • Understanding of tele networks and Enterprise Solutions Sales 

  • Good understanding of the pain points that big Telecom operators are experiencing 

  • Able to establish executive-level relationships

  • Knowledge of complex software applications

  • Strong analytical, time management and problem-solving skills 

  • Able to function well in a high-paced environment and prioritising tasks

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (written and verbal)

  • Proficient computer literacy skills (MS Office) 

  • Fluent in German  

  • Flexible and willing to travel domestically (>50%) and some international travel
