The role

Our client is a world-renowned manufacturer of optical systems across various disciplines including scientific research and medical technology.

We are seeking a sales training and implementation specialist (Sales Deployment) who has commercial experience within analytical instrumentation being used in natural resources and geosciences industries, in particular metals, raw materials and natural resources.

The core focus in this role is on maximising sales efficiency and productivity on a global scale by working with sales teams to understand how to respond and advise on complex solutions. This will include developing effective sales, marketing and training materials that align with the target market and coaching on how to position the portfolio on a strategic level.

This involved working with international teams; product management, marketing and sales to ensure there is a consistent message to market worldwide.

This is a sales enablement role – someone acting and as the global conduit between functions and the key specialist in ensuring the team have the right tools to facilitate sales.

The requirements

The successful candidate is likely to have a BSc in a relevant field and proven commercial/sales experience of analytical instrumentation into natural resources, metals and/or geosciences. Alongside this, we are looking for;

  • Degree educated within a technical or scientific discipline
  • Proven sales experience within natural resources, metals and/or geosciences
  • Understanding of analytical tools used in these markets; ideally microscopy
  • Experience of developing sales training programmes across a global remit
  • Ability to maximise sales and influence the message to market via marketing materials
  • Experience of working on a global scale – also propensity for international travel
