The role

My client is a well-respected, innovative and dynamic orthopaedic player who specialise within across upper and lower extremities in orthopaedics.

I am seeking a Sales Associate to join the team and support across the South West and South Central regions. This role will have responsibilities to provide sales support to territory managers, Orthopaedic surgeons, operating room staff and procurement departments across the NHS.

The hiring manager is seeking to recruit a personable, enthusiastic and eager candidate who can manage a fast-paced role within a sales capacity. 

This role can look to provide you with the foundations of a career in the medical industry and progress into various areas within the business, such as business development or territory management.

If you have a theatre/scrub background or experience gained across a physiotherapy or sports science background, this could be highly transferable to this position for sales. My client is also open to junior applicants who have recently graduated in the medical, sports or nursing subjects. The role will require flexi time as some cases you will support could have delays. Occasional weekend work will be required when necessary with the nature of orthopaedic surgery.

This position will look to cover the South West and South-Central regions of the UK. Ideal location of the successful individual will be Bournemouth, Poole or Basingstoke.
 

The requirements

You will live within the designated territory, but aside from this you will also have:

  • Previous work or volunteering experience gained in NHS, theatre or other clinical environment – desired
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to organise your own diary
  • Experience to date within sales during or post University
  • Basic understanding of the human anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
