Job description

Following an exciting phase of recent growth, FMC Meditech are supporting an innovative Ortho player in their search for a Sales Associate to join their team in the UK North West.

As a technology leader with a global presence, their minimally invasive portfolio provides uncompromising sustainability whilst streamlining surgical procedures to provide an optimal experience for both patients and surgeons across the world.

The role 
By completing clinical and sales training, you’ll be in the position to accelerate sales for our client’s Ortho portfolio on the hospital ground by owning case coverage with physicians and clinics across the North West. As a product expert, you’ll provide both logistical and product support during surgical procedures using our client’s solutions, addressing queries to ensure smooth surgical processes and achieve excellent levels of customer satisfaction.

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Building strong, long-term stakeholder relationships 
  • Maintaining and growing business in the territory 
  • Learning technical and methodological requirements of product portfolio 
  • Working as part of a close-knit commercial team 
  • Demonstrating a strategic approach, coordinating numerous departments and customer types within the NHS and private setting 

 
The requirements 
The ideal candidate will have a combination of sales expertise and clinical experience, particularly in OR settings, as well as:
 

  • Degree educated in a relevant scientific or technical discipline
  • Comfortable operating within a clinical environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, no matter what level of stakeholder
  • Highly organised and able to meet multiple deadlines 
  • Proficient IT skills (including Microsoft Suite)
  • Keen learner and able to take on complex medical terminology 
  • Innovative, proactive and able to problem solve
  • Flexible and willing to travel

This role will require flexibility to provide case support after hours, including weekends.
