Do you want to kick-start your medical device sales career? Are you passionate and driven? Our client – a leading provider of surgical and orthopaedic devices – is searching for a highly motivated Sales Associate to join their team in their Kent & Surrey territory.

The role 

The Sales Associate role is the perfect way to kick-start your medical device sales career. You’ll be tasked with supporting an experienced Sales Manager in their territory, with the ultimate aim of growing the customer base and being responsible for the running key accounts. Relationship building sits at the very heart of this role, you’ll spend a lot of your time engaging with customers and prospects, fostering strong relationships with key opinion leaders. You’ll also take an active part in customer education and support the wider team to achieve greater customer engagement. 

Other responsibilities include… 

  • Growing the volume of a defined territory through sales

  • Managing business accounts within an existing sales territory

  • Being responsible for the day to day running of key accounts

  • Dealing with stock issues, instrument requirements and organising loan kits

  • Implementing training sessions and workshops

  • Gaining an understanding of customers’ needs 

  • Providing customer service to existing customers

  • Conducting trials and evaluations of products in the theatre

  • Identifying customer needs and working with the sales team to provide solutions 


The requirements 

You don’t have to have any specific medical sales experience for this role but you will ideally have some sales or business experience, as well as… 

  • Degree educated in a science or business-based subject

  • A background that demonstrates an ability to engage with others

  • An interest in and knowledge of anatomy and physiology

  • Commercial acumen and experience dealing with customers

  • Motivating, influential and works hard

  • Strong presentation, organisation, and negotiation skills

  • Excellent workshop and demonstration skills 

  • Excellent English communication skills 

  • Proficient computer literacy skills (MS Office) 

  • Ideally located in Kent/Surrey
