Are you looking to progress your career in an eye care sales role? Our client is currently seeking a charismatic Retinal Product Specialist to join their team in the UK.

They pride themselves on delivering long-lasting solutions that provide healthcare professionals with the efficiency and support they need to provide exceptional levels of patient care.

The role

As a Retinal Product Specialist you’ll become an expert of our client’s range of innovative ophthalmic imaging solutions and act as a trusted consultant to a range of internal and external key clinical individuals. You’ll develop and deliver engaging product demonstrations, training courses and presentations that will empower customers to optimise the use of the product portfolio.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Supporting sales activities for the product portfolio
  • Ensuring customers are fully trained on our client’s products
  • Staying up to date with market and customer expectations
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers
  • Providing timely communication to users pre and post-training
  • Documenting reviews and feedback during the training


The requirements

The ideal candidate will have a clinical and commercial background with evidence of success in a sales role, as well as:

  • Degree Educated in a relevant scientific discipline (desirable)
  • Experience of screening patients for eyecare conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage interactions with internal and external partners
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Able to communicate complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders
  • Dynamic and results orientated 
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Flexible and willing to travel internationally and across the territory
