Do you have experience in a sales management role? Are you keen to work for one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of lenses? Our client is currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join their team in the West of the UK.

The role

As Regional Sales Manager you’ll be focused on delivering sales strategy for your territory. You’ll be working with both new and existing customers to develop a sales pipeline, so if you’re a strong relationship builder this could be the perfect role for you!

This role also involves developing members of the Area Sales team, supporting and motivating them to achieve targets and to develop professionally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing sales in regional key accounts
  • Ensuring the territory reaches financial targets set by the business
  • Developing relationships and driving business with both new and existing customers
  • Working with Marketing to promote the product portfolio
  • Supporting retailers in your territory to achieve maximum value
  • Increasing distribution of the product portfolio
  • Identifying and improving under-performing regions
  • Being responsible for the development of members of the Area Sales team
  • Ensuring the very best in customer service


The requirements

You will have at least 5-10 years’ experience in sales and experience in a senior sales management role. As well as this, you will have:

  • Degree level education in a business-related discipline, as well as a qualification in an Optical subject/membership of a professional body
  • Track record of developing new concepts to achieve targets
  • Experience reaching targets by developing and motivating a sales team
  • Experience in a ‘hands on’ sales role involving B2B sales
  • Experience in sales management
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Excellent communication skills with a variety of stakeholders (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of dispensing and lenses
  • Computer literacy skills (including MS Office)
  • Experience of using a CRM system
  • Motivation to go the extra mile
  • Strong relationship building skills
