FMC are working in partnership with a leading UK distributor in medical technology that are a dominant provider of high-quality diagnostic & surgical systems. The role

Our client is focused on implementing innovative optical technologies into their specialist range of diagnostic and surgical equipment. They have an impressive reputation for providing healthcare professional with outstanding products by utilising their distribution network in Ophthalmology across the UK.

We are looking for a strong man manager which is wanting to develop and support a fantastic team supporting a mixed capital & consumable portfolio of medical devices. This role will be focussed on the Surgical & Diagnostic product portfolio.

Success within this role requires the successful candidate to be intuitive, think on their feet and develop growth within their designated region with the resources at their region’s disposal.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sustained success in the Surgical and Diagnostic Ophthalmology environments, demonstrate Leadership and Management traits to ensure the continued development and upskilling of the team

The requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable sales & leadership track record of working within medical sales.

  • Must have either existing experience of developing commercial relationships across all levels of staff within a NHS and Private Hospital environments
  • Proven track record in medical sales – ideally within the surgical ophthalmology is desirable
  • Accustomed to supporting products within hospital and clinical environments
  • Ability to manage a long-term sales process and support each step of this
  • Technically minded with the ability to absorb information and translate this into engaging information for the customer
  • Some experience of supporting new product launches or established products into new markets would be ideal
