Our client is at a crucial stage in their growth trajectory and are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to service the Midwest US territory. You will be a self-starter with entrepreneurial flair to help grow their customer base in the region.

Our client delivers hundreds of installations and solutions in multiple vertical markets in the process industry across the globe. They focus on assessing customers data, complimenting services, adding value, and helping with decision making at a rapid pace. Our client's revenue has doubled in the last 5 years with their products continuing to be extremely well received in the market. 


The role 

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for calling existing and prospective customers across the Midwest with focus on winning new business, managing the day-to-day sales process, coordinating and leading presentations, developing proposals, and closing sales.  

Other responsibilities include… 

  • Maintaining an active healthy pipeline  

  • Developing sufficient knowledge of core industries 

  • Answering commercial and technical questions  

  • Developing software and professional services proposals 

  • Utilising the CRM system to manage customers, leads and forecasting 

  • Building a strong, professional relationship with stakeholders at all levels  


The requirements 

Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an Outside Sales Representative, ideally within the process industries or working for a process information software vendor, as well as… 

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering  

  • Experience working with process historian and data visualisation software packages  

  • Understanding of systems process data  

  • Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and skill in the use of Information Technology  

  • Knowledge of a programming language  

  • Able to get in the door and expand new and existing opportunities  

  • Experience utilising a CRM system  

  • Hungry and determined to win  

  • Comfortable working in a team environment 

  • Self-directed, hyper-organised and autonomous 

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)  

  • Flexible and willing to travel 25-50%
