Are you an experienced manager with a background of delivering complex projects within the medical device space? Our client, a leading medical equipment manufacturer, is currently looking for a talented Regional Business Unit Manager to join their team.


The company

Our client is a top 20 global medical device company who are pioneering the early detection and minimally invasive treatment of a vast range of healthcare issues. Focused on developing clinically advanced surgical instruments and solutions, our client is passionate about improving patient care in healthcare worldwide.


The role

As a Regional Business Unit Manager, you will be accountable for the sales and market share growth within across the UK and Ireland by developing and executing a compelling customer solutions business unit strategy. You’ll assume a leading role in the sales and marketing team and craft a high performing team culture, guiding team members maximise sales profitability. You will be liaising with stakeholders at all levels within the NHS and Private hospital setting to provide tangible value to our clients’ IT solutions and infection prevention portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out business planning and mapping to identify customer opportunities
  • Planning to identify key decision-makers and influencers within hospital accounts
  • Helping customers achieve their desired goals to secure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Protecting existing revenue and developing new revenue streams
  • Providing feedback to management on the sales process and marketing materials
  • Planning and executing sales activities as well as providing sales support
  • Promoting and establishing education of the company’s products
  • Working collaboratively with other business units


The requirements

The ideal candidate will be experienced at leading a medical sales team. In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing within the medical device sector, with experience of selling into hospital environments, is crucial to this role.

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline
  • Experience of delivering complex IT solutions and projects
  • Surgical sales experience is desirable
  • Comfortable delivering technical presentations
  • Detailed oriented, logical and able to analyse market activity
  • Able to build strong relationships with clinical stakeholders
  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships
  • Able work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Competitive and driven to succeed
  • Flexible and willing to travel
