We are currently supporting an incredibly well respected, market leading medical and scientific device company that is looking for a Regional Account Specialist for the Midlands and East region of the UK.

The role

As a Regional Account Specialist, you will be focused on the promoting the company’s range of integrated diagnostic solutions and will be responsible within the NHS and across Pathology Networks.

These products include a mix of high-value capital solutions and a more consumable led portfolio of specimen collection, reagents and medias used within the laboratory and pathology departments of hospitals for analysis. Alongside this, our client offers an integrated software platform that connects to their systems to provide quick and accurate reporting.

This is an end to end solution based portfolio; our client has products that are used from the moment a specimen is collected from the patient, all the way through to analysis and reporting – resulting in a clear diagnosis.
 

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving growth in your territory through a proactive approach
  • Developing strategic partnerships as NHSI Pathology networks develop
  • Planning and converting diagnostic solution opportunities – making sure the value of integrated solutions is positioned appropriately in the NHS value stream
  • Working closely with applications, marketing and technical teams

 

The requirements

You will live within the desired territory, as well as:

  • A high-level of knowledge of lifesciences with a microbiology and/or molecular background
  • Experience of selling products into laboratory based environments – ideally hospital/clinical laboratories  
  • A strong track record of managing key accounts
  • Ability to proactively find and create business opportunities
  • Results driven and commercially aware
  • Strong knowledge of the NHS and the Pathology market
  • Excellent business planning and organisational skills
  • Strategic thinking to plan systematically and effectively
  • Excellent communication and networking skills (both verbal and written)
