Are you an experienced product manager with both excellent technical and commercial skills? Do you have a passion for cloud, digital and emerging enterprise technologies? Our client is looking for an driven Product Manager to join their team.

FMC Smart Industry continue to support world leaders in engineering software who push the boundaries of innovation for the global AEC, Smart Cities, and infrastructure sectors. Our client is an engineering software powerhouse that put R&D, M&A activity, and brand enhancement at the forefront of its innovation strategy, propelling them ahead of its competitors. More recently, leading the way in Digital Twin, IoT, and simulation design and modelling software, they have thousands of customers based across the world.

The role

As a Product Manager, you’ll focus on accelerating demand for our client’s innovative new software platform by defining and implementing a strategy that will drive its presence across the infrastructure engineering markets. You’ll develop trusted relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and build a detailed understanding of their business needs in order to position our client’s software services as compelling solutions, providing tailored advice and utilising their feedback to improve the software platform.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, trusted, and influential relationships with customers
  • Developing relationships across all tiers of the company and customer teams
  • Providing unique industry insights to the customer
  • Becoming a product expert to provide guidance based on customer need
  • Increasing customer satisfaction and ensuring excellent retention rates
  • Analysing the market to identify new business opportunities
  • Providing feedback to streamline service and product delivery
  • Developing quality sales and marketing collateral
  • Hitting and exceeding sales quota

The ideal candidate will have experience in technology development including API consumption and Cloud technology, as well as…

  • 5+ years’ experience of user engagement in a product management role
  • Proven track record of launching new technology to market
  • Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Customer-focused with a high level of charisma and influence
  • Organised and able to undertake multiple projects
  • Resilient and able to handle ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proficient computer literacy skills (including MS Office)
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Excellent leadership capabilities
  • Flexible and willing to travel up to 25%
  • Positive, driven and results-orientated
