Job description

Our client is seeking a Pre-Sales Director to join their team in the US and drive the adoption of their enterprise software solution throughout their large customer base as well as establishing new business.  


The company 

Our client has just solidified themselves as the market leader within their niche. They offer a unique supply chain solution which the big players don't, saving customers millions in their first year. They offer a centralised cloud-based platform, allowing companies to be much more agile, respond quickly to changing market conditions, and ultimately get products to market faster. 

They have continued to grow throughout the pandemic, and they are now looking for an account manager to join their team in the UK to sell their product portfolio into large enterprise level accounts – both new business hunting and managing existing customers. 


The role 

As Pre-Sales Director, you will be focused on utilising value-based sales processes and ensuring team collaboration to achieve the company’s sales objectives. You will ensure the clients’ needs are met and regularly communicate with a variety of stakeholders to review the following:  

  • Opportunity description, business drivers, value promoters, and plan letters 

  • Discovery agendas, meetings, reports, and validation with prospects 

  • Solution presentations, demonstrations, architecture, and ROI 

  • POC, RFI, RFP, SOW, and change order documentation 

  • Pre-Sales Projects, schedules, timecards, and milestones 

  • Team performance via KPIs 

  • Hand-off meetings to Professional Services Group 

  • Travel to meet with customers and team members for sales and services opportunities

The requirements 

The successful candidate will have 7-10 years’ in an enterprise software company and experience in solution development or delivery in software, cloud, or SaaS environment, as well as: 

  • Degree qualified Computer Engineering or an equivalent subject 

  • Demonstrable understanding of the solution and value-based sales process 

  • Able to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge 

  • Strong technical aptitude and business acumen with Supply Chain knowledge 

  • Able to manage, motivate and grow a team of solution architects 

  • Familiar with ERP, MES, WMS and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) 

  • Knowledge of Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Cloud, and SaaS 

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills 

  • Value driven, process-oriented, metrics-focused, tenacious, and entrepreneurial  

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Flexible and willing to travel up to 50%
