Do you want to be part of our clients’ mission to create the future of technology? We are recruiting for an electric technology powerhouse who are looking for a Powertrain Simulation Engineer to build and simulate full vehicle models. 

 

The company 

Our client develops ground-breaking electric hypercar technologies that are set to revolutionise the vehicles of the future. They are, quite literally, driving the future of electric cars. Developing their full range of technologies in-house – from battery packs to electronics – they are a leading company in the electrified technologies space. 

 

The role 

As Powertrain Simulation Engineer, you’ll build and simulate Powertrain and full vehicle models using various simulation tools. As well as, performing Powertrain simulation analysis to evaluate full vehicle systems and performance.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Optimising electrical and hybrid powertrain systems control strategies  

  • Improving original designs based on simulation and testing data 

  • Working on continuous fine-tuning of powertrain systems 

  • Identifying problematic issues and offer creative solutions 

  • Suggesting improvements on design, processes, and methodologies  

  • Writing technical reports, preparing presentations, organizing meetings, and communicating results with relevant stakeholders  

 

The requirements 

You’ll have previous experience in the automotive industry, specifically in Powertrain Simulation.  

Other requirements include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an aligned subject 

  • Prior experience with IPG CarMaker, Matlab/Simulink, or GT-Suite 

  • Experience in post processing in Matlab 

  • In-depth understanding of electric and hybrid powertrain system 

  • Basic knowledge of CAD (3DX, Catia, etc.)  

  • Knowledge about vehicle dynamics control systems is preferred  

  • Technically minded 

  • Able to engage with stakeholders at all levels 

  • Team player and drive for continuous improvement 

  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
