We are recruiting for an electric technology powerhouse who are looking for a Powertrain Manager to lead their vehicle engineering Powertrain team on EV projects focusing on cooling systems and Powertrains.

The role

As Powertrain Manager your core responsibility will be to lead the vehicle engineering Powertrain team. You’ll be organising the team and implementing improvements make sure projects associated with the development of Powertrain and cooling systems for EVs run seamlessly. You’ll also look after their professional development and will act in a mentor capacity to members of the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and organising the vehicle engineering Powertrain team
  • Task coordination and assignment
  • Managing the professional development of your team
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the development process
  • Ensuring project documentation is organized
  • Work with suppliers on design, development, and testing
  • Supporting program planning
  • Defining Powertrain timelines and executing these to meet program timelines
  • Overseeing release processes
  • Ensuring tooling is kicked on-time
  • Liaising with other internal teams on projects
  • Identifying and implementing advanced technical solutions


The requirements

You will have a strong track record in an engineering leadership role, as well as…

  • Over seven years’ experience in the automotive space
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related discipline
  • Ability to lead an engineering team
  • Experience developing Powertrain and cooling systems for electric vehicles
  • Experience with program management processes
  • Knowledge of vehicle development timelines
  • Strong English language skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • An analytical approach to tasks
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders/customers
