We are recruiting for an electric technology powerhouse who are looking for a Powertrain Engineer to create high performance, reliable and scalable powertrain system architectures.

The role 

As Powertrain Engineer, you’ll create high performance, reliable and scalable powertrain system architectures.  You will also research and lead the selection process of the potential system and component-level systems. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Developing electric powertrain system and component level requirements 

  • Performing detailed studies and analysis of the powertrain system  

  • Completing performance evaluation, design optimisation and component selection 

  • Defining functional requirements for powertrain systems and documenting them  

  • Communicating with suppliers and external and internal stakeholders,  

  • Managing supplier activities during the whole product lifecycle 

  • Leading the team of engineers working on the electric powertrain system integration  

 

The requirements 

You’ll have at least 5 years’ of professional experience in powertrain systems and components development at automotive Tier 1 or OEM. Other requirements include: 

  • Master’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical and Electrical engineering 

  • Expert technical knowledge and experience of powertrain component and system product development cycle 

  • High experience with core EV Powertrain architectures and topologies 

  • Knowledge of system engineering tools 

  • Understanding of powertrain standards including, ISO 26262, Autosar, ASPICE, 

  • Experience in powertrain or vehicle DV&V program executions 

  • Strong organisational skills, supplier management, and resource planning 

  • Able to multi-ask effectively on different system assignments 

  • Able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines 

  • Experience in CAD packages, BoM, and programme management  

  • Fluent English in spoken and written form
