We are currently supporting a leading provider of scalable predictive maintenance software for asset intensive industries. They are seeking to engage a Partner Director to join their team in Europe and build long-lasting relationships with industrial partners to drive business growth.

The company

FMC Smart Industry are working with a rapidly growing software company and creator of an industry renowned machine-learning and AI product for the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Their highly sophisticated and intelligent solution provides accurate analysis so that engineers can recognise faults before they occur. They are striving to truly master Industry 4.0 and digital transformation so that their customers can work rapidly, efficiently and with reduced costs across the board.

The role

As Partner Director you will be working with a well-backed, high-growth software company pioneering the adoption of its powerful machine-learning predictive maintenance product into the manufacturing sector. You will be an ambassador for the company, working with internal teams to develop relationships and drive sales. Relationship building sits at the heart of this role, as you’ll be building long-lasting customer relationships that lead to business opportunities.

Our client has ambitious growth plans for the future and you’ll be a core part of this in the Partner Director role with considerable autonomy and fantastic opportunities for professional progression.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping to expand our client’s indirect sales channel
  • Developing sales strategies and rapidly executing them
  • Building strong relationships with industrial partners to support their needs
  • Adopting a hands-on approach to partners
  • Tracking and managing key performance metrics
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed revenue targets
  • Managing the operation of strategic partnerships to ensure successful delivery in line with business strategy and priorities.
  • Designing, implementing and refining partner operation processes
  • Presenting, marketing and supporting Partners in promoting and securing sales



The requirements

You’ll have solid knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IIoT technologies and a proven track record of developing partner relationships with industrial bsuinesses. Other requirements include:


  • Degree level educated in a relevant discipline desirable
  • Familiar with Industry 4.0 and analytics software
  • A proven track record of selling B2B software to large multi-national companies
  • A strong hunter mentality and tremendous networking skills
  • Demonstrable success inbuilding high-level relationships
  • Understand the differences required when dealing with partners vs direct sales
  • An autonomous self-starter
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Professional and meticulous when creating documentation
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience drafting proposals and other customer documents
  • Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Positive and enthusiastic
  • Comfortable with a start-up environment
  • Fluent in another key language is a major plus (e.g. French, Spanish, German)
