Job description

We are seeking an ISC Nurse Specialist to be based in either East Anglia or the South Central region to deliver, support, and facilitate the continence and urological needs of patients. The role 

You will focus on providing exceptional support and building confidence and competency with the patients who need care. This role involved providing support to the wider Nursing Team in the delivery of high-quality care and support.  

  • Ensuring patients are at the heart of all delivery  

  • Delivering care within clinics and other environments 

  • Growing and maintaining skills and undertaking required training 

  • Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders  

  • Planning, implementing, and assessing approaches to promote health and wellbeing  

  • Ensuring all recording systems and organisational documentation are up-to-date  

  • Attending Nursing Team meetings, events, and training where required  

The requirements 

The successful candidate will live within the assigned region and be aware of the travel involved in a field-based role such as this, alongside;

  • 1st Level Nursing Qualification and current NMC registration are essential  

  • Evidence of further relevant study at degree level  

  • Previous experience working with patients with continence and urological problems  

  • Have a real passion, knowledge, and experience of intermittent self-catheterisation products and services  

  • Have a focus on patient care and maintain ethical values 

  • Have the confidence to form lasting relationships with healthcare professionals and recognise their influence as decision-makers 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt and address situations quickly  

  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Evidence of mentoring, coaching, or training is desirable  

  • Understand and follow all policies, the NMC Code, and regulatory frameworks and understand procedures associated with the role
