Job description

Our client is currently looking for a Sales New Business Manager in Construction Software to join their team and help define our client as a thought leader within the construction sector in the UK. 

 

The company 

Our client is a specialist engineering software company who supply leading design technology as well as associated consultancy, integration, and professional services. They work in a range of markets, spanning the architecture, engineering, construction, process, and plant industries. A leading reseller in the UK, they have a core focus on technical excellence and helping their clients to enhance their project workflows.  

 

The role 

As Sales New Business Manager, you will be managing relationships with clients, vendors and suppliers and be the focal point for new business activity within the construction sector. 

You’ll regularly meet with new and existing customers, generating new sales leads, dealing with enquiries and providing excellent customer service to own client base.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Planning and prioritising personal sales activities 

  • Developing new business sales opportunities within the Construction sector  

  • Assisting in developing a go-to-market plan for industry solutions 

  • Preparing account plans to develop new business in existing accounts 

  • Reporting progress and activities to the Sales Director 

  • Maintaining, managing, and taking responsibility for own customer base 

  • Supporting the internal sales team and the service delivery team in meeting customer needs 

  • Liaising with suppliers and distributors to maintain compliancy 

 

The requirements 

You’ll have construction solution sales experience. Other requirements include: 

  • Experience with Autodesk or aligned solutions 

  • New business hunter with a drive to open new relationships and expanding existing where appropriate 

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently   

  • Strong relationship building, leadership, and management skills 

  • In depth commercial knowledge  

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects 

  • Thrives on and manages change effectively 

  • Produces and encourages creative solutions to problems 

  • Promotes a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
