Job description

Our client is currently seeking a passionate National Sales Manager to join their team in Ireland and lead the sales of an exciting portfolio of products within the optometric and ophthalmic markets.

They pride themselves on delivering long-lasting solutions that provide healthcare professionals with the efficiency and support they need to provide exceptional levels of patient care.

The role

As a National Sales Manager you will focus on winning new business with clinical customers and establishing our client as a key industry player in Ireland. You’ll execute a clear and robust national sales strategy that will penetrate our client’s market opportunity, delivering product demonstrations in a range of clinical settings and providing excellent customer consultation and support.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Leading, managing and directing sales objectives
  • Analysing the Irish market to identify growth opportunities
  • Building specialised knowledge of the product portfolio and latest clinical developments
  • Providing quality customer support and training
  • Managing resources within the sales area and hitting sales targets
  • Producing regular reports and forecasts outlining both current and proposed activities
  • Accelerating revenue and market share growth
  • Adhering to legal and regulatory requirements

 

The requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background with experience working with ophthalmic diagnostic devices, as well as:

  • Degree Educated in a relevant scientific discipline (desirable)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Comfortable in an operating room environment
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
  • Able to develop influential relationships with key decision-makers
  • High level of business awareness and commercial acumen
  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Positive, ambitious and driven
