Are you a highly motivated individual with the ability to thrive under pressure? Our client is currently looking for a talented National Account Manager to join their team across the North of the UK.  

 

The company 

Our client is a global manufacturing and distribution company who complete commercial and residential projects all over the world. They focus on surfaces and laminates used for furniture, office and retail space, countertops, and worktops. They sell their products through a network of company-owned independent distributors across North America and internationally. 

 

The role 

As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for accelerating sales growth by maximising all potential opportunities for new product listings. You’ll focus on capturing competitor business as well as maintaining and developing relationships in an assigned set of accounts. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Creating detailed account development plans that deliver sustainable growth 

  • Forming and maintaining strong senior level customer relationships  

  • Setting sales budget targets and business initiatives and objectives 

  • Gaining maximum account penetration to drive overall account profitability 

  • Communicating promotion plans and range review plans to stakeholders 

  • Ensuring account contracts are legally binding and up to date 

  • Providing feedback of customer trends, market analysis and competitor activity to team members 

  • Continuously identifying new business and new product opportunities 

  • Maintain a strong knowledge level of the company's solutions and services 

 

The requirements 

You’ll have the experience to manage at national account level, involving the handling of senior account relationships, as well as: 

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and analysis 

  • Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills 

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen 

  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite) 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Detail orientated and analytical 

  • A strategic planner with a structured approach 

  • Willing to travel and make overnight stays
