Are you a Sales Engineer based in the South looking for a UK wide sales position with a global leader in the materials testing industry? We are seeking a medical sales professional with experience having sold capital equipment into the medical or pharmaceutical market. This is an excellent opportunity to inherit an established area with excellent potential for future, new and existing business.

Our client supports the needs of their servo-hydraulic customers in the field of destructive mechanical testing. They’re the leading supplier worldwide and have over 150 years’ experience providing reliable test results, excellent service, and high quality and reliability in materials and components testing.   


The role 

As a Medical Sales Specialist, you will be joining a business with interesting, niche testing products in more than 20 different industries: you will benefit from being an integral member of a successful team and will function as the “go to expert” for product selection and application expertise.  

As a Medical Sales Specialist you will need to demonstrate your ability to apply technical knowhow to ensure the customer is purchasing the most suitable technology for their requirements. Account Management duties require you to penetrate and expand opportunity of the existing customer base. 


The requirements 

You will ideally be educated to Degree level within a technical discipline preferably medical or engineering, as well as… 

  • Capital equipment or device sales experience with established networks 

  • Extensive experience having sold into the medical or pharmaceutical market 

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work unsupervised 

  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to present company and technical presentations 

  • Prior CRM experience  

  • Be self-motivated to work unsupervised and achieve targets 

  • Possess a natural flair for problem solving in a technical and commercial capacity 

  • Be open and flexible to travelling regularly for work
