Our clients are one of the leading suppliers of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) who have more than 40 years of experience offering products, services, and solutions within the production industry. They operate in over thirteen locations worldwide including Germany, China, and the USA for a huge array of customers, from medium-sized to international global players.

The role 

As a Manager of Sales & Marketing, you’ll bring your software sales and manufacturing industry expertise to lead, manage and inspire a dedicated team of Sales and Marketing individuals to secure new business partnerships across the North American region whilst enhancing existing customer relationships. You will build a sales plan that positions our client as a strategic business partner to customers, providing integrated software and service solutions that satisfy customer requirements. This role also brings you the opportunity to utilise your creative ability to lead the organisation of marketing strategies that will propel brand awareness across the manufacturing space. 

Other responsibilities include: 

• Crafting a results-driven culture that will accelerate revenue growth 

• Driving all aspects of the sales cycle, from proposals through to contract negotiations 

• Building partnerships in an international sales environment 

• Planning and analysing current and future marketing campaigns with the Marketing team 

• Maintaining a detailed understanding of industry trends and competitor capabilities 

• Developing proven metrics and reporting 

The requirements 

You’ll have a successful background in hiring, training and motivating high-performance sales and marketing teams, as well as: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline 

• Demonstrable experience in closing complex deals for software solutions in the manufacturing industry 

• Familiar with value-added processes in the manufacturing industry and the digitization needs of manufacturing companies 

• Able to drive innovation, with experience in creating and implementing brand messaging through appropriate channels 

• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen 

• Excellent networker and able to build high-level relationships at all levels, including C-suite 

• Strong team-working ability and exceptional interpersonal skills 

• Organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, in both in-person and virtual settings 

• Positive, driven and results-orientated
