Are you a strong self-starter with initiative and drive? Our client is currently looking for a Maintenance, Engineering & Facilities Manager to join their team.

The company

Our client is a pioneer in batteries. Following a recent £100m acquisition they are playing a key part in the solution for cheaper and cleaner energy provision. With this as a catalyst, the business is about to enter a period of considerable growth.

The role

As a Maintenance, Engineering & Facilities Manager, you’ll optimise the safe functioning and availability of our client’s facilities and equipment as they enter an exciting global scale-up. You’ll build strong, long-term relationships with vendors and incorporate their technical expertise into a Maintenance and Engineering roadmap that enables our client to utilise all available assets. 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the operational and development functions
  • Communicating risks to the business
  • Aligning the wider organisation to deliver against specific targets and goals
  • Driving effect decision making through strong data analysis and reporting
  • Delivering monthly reports against key targets
  • Building a supportive working environment.

 

The requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in maintenance and engineering management. A detailed understanding of chemical process maintenance relating to hazardous material contamination is crucial to this role. Other requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or apprenticeship in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning, with strong experience in a maintenance facilities management role, is desirable
  • Familiar with safe systems of work and duty transfer processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Driven team player with a strong ability to work independently
  • Highly organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects
  • Positive, driven and able to thrive under pressure
